Why should female voters support you? What specifically is in your platform that might appeal to women voters?

There is a common misconception that female voters care about different issues, or that they want candidates to treat them as an interest group looking for political favors. In my experience traveling around the country and talking with thousands of voters, I have found that women care about the exact same issues as men: good jobs and a growing economy, getting our debt under control, strengthening our health care and education systems, protecting our interests and standing by our allies around the world.

So while the President seeks to divide Americans, scare them with untrue accusations, and offer special programs to win their votes, I am focused on an agenda that will help all Americans. My Plan for a Stronger Middle Class focuses on achieving energy independence, giving all Americans the skills to succeed, making trade work for us, cutting the deficit, and championing small business. My health care proposals will replace Obamacare with commonsense, patient-centered reforms that control costs while ensuring all Americans can get the care they need.

America is at its best when we are united and working toward common goals, and that is the approach I will bring to Washington.

President Obama is fighting for women in America and is working to strengthen the health and economic security of women and their families. The first bill he signed into law was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which helps women fight back when they don’t receive equal pay for equal work.

Women are benefitting from the President’s health care reform law, which requires insurance companies to cover recommended preventive care like cancer screenings, flu shots and contraception without out of pocket costs. And the law will prohibit insurance companies from charging women more than men for the same coverage. Being a woman will no longer be a preexisting condition, thanks to the Affordable Care Act. And President Obama supports a women’s right to make her own health care decisions.
